The firm's lawyers regularly participate in Islamic finance workshops and conferences, served on speaker panels at the Islamic Finance World Conferences in Canada and London and have authored articles and books on topical issues in Islamic finance. Our founder, Tricia Steele,  has published work in scholarly and trade publications concerning various aspects of Sharia-complaint investment strategies and its application in western economies.

Our attorneys have also spoken at law schools and conferences regarding various aspects of law firm economics and career development at Duke University School of Law, The Center for the Study of the Legal Profession at Georgetown Law School, University of Chicago Business School and Harvard Law School, a topic which remains a passion of the firm at large.


Our Founder served as a member of the legal team of the Chinese office of her US based law firm, which grossed the highest transactional M&A volume in China in 2010, including the largest investments by a Chinese company directly into U.S. energy.


Our Founder was an Inaugural Board Member of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), tasked with consulting and drafting the first set of regulations governing the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX) or currently, the  NASDAQ Dubai.

Participated with teams of attorneys offering pro bono services to travel overseas intervention trips on behalf of oppressed populations, including Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad, India.  Volunteered as part of a United States attorneys program to train attorneys in Chiang Mai, Thailand in in various areas of trial advocacy.   Such efforts have been featured in various publications such as Texas Bar Journal and Duke Magazine
